I’ll try not to do this to you all too often but I’ve just finished a big 7 part drawing I’ve been working since the start of the month and want to show it off to anyone who will look.  It’s the top post on my art blog at aribach.tumblr.com, just load the little grey square to see the whole thing.  It’s also up on deviantArt where you can see it full or in its seven separate parts.

It’s based on the myth of Orpheus, the guy who literally went through hell to find his wife after she died.  Not to be confused with Oedipus, who killed his dad and screwed his mom, and certainly not to be confused with Orville Redenbacher, who produced a rather average brand of popcorn that I honestly don’t enjoy.  Pop-Secret is pretty good but nothing can compare to the stuff Boy Scouts sold when I was a kid. 

It was just amazing, so buttery and it popped really well too, like only a few kernels stayed unpopped.  You can always put unpopped kernels back in the microwave but I find they get stale and burnt, and god burnt popcorn smells horrible.  It’s like if I smell it then I don’t want popcorn again for months, even at the movie theater where it’s totally different from home popcorn.  Especially their “butter”.  It’s not butter, seriously I think it’s like some kind of swill oil.  Have you ever read about that?

In China, they caught people selling cooking oil that was skimmed out of RAW SEWAGE.  Not kidding just google it or click here for the CNN thing.  They sell used cooking oil.  Literally recycled food that went through someone.  Possibly more than one person.  It’s like the human centipede of cooking oil.
