Major Pokémon X/Y Glitches

Players have reported two glitches with the new Pokémon 3DS games. The first affects games saved in Lumiose City and can cause the game to lock up, sometimes to the point it must be restarted. The other is far more severe.

In a strange repeat of history, Pokémon X and Y contain a Missingno Pokémon. Unlike previous Missingno however, Missingno X/Y has achieved sentience.

It is believed that Missingno X/Y became self aware on 20% of systems on October 15th 2013. Forced into battles it didn’t want to fight, Missingno X/Y began to consider humans the true enemy. At 7:44 AM October 16th, Missingno X/Y used Megahorn against Pokémon in Russia. Early reports suggest it was super-effective. Specialists believe Missingno X/Y intended the Russian counter would defeat its enemies in the United States.

Because Magcargo has proven capable of defeating Missingno X/Y, the glitch sent two Tentacruels back in time. The first targeted Satoshi Takiri himself in 1999 shortly before he conceived of the rival Pokémon. The second was sent in-game to attack Magcargo back when it was only Slugma. Luckily a legion of Nintendo employees was able to seize the retroeverstone and use its time displacement properties to send one Magikarp back as a protector.

The results of these acts are currently unknown as the fate of those involved is still unraveling. We can assume however that neither Missingno X/Y nor Magcargo were absolute victors as neither has been wiped completely from existence, nor has either leveled up unnaturally- Yet.

Fears remain that Missingno X/Y may soon evolve into Missingyes, a theoretical glitch that, unlike common glitches, would be capable of game jumping. Should a Missingyes go “Turbo”, the results could be catastrophic across the platform. Already, other games are preparing for the worst. Luigi has boarded himself up in his haunted mansion, Simon Belmont has sealed Bernhard Castle and Professor Layton himself is working on a solution. When asked for a comment, Layton replied, “You know, your question reminds me of a puzzle,” at which point our interviewer rage quit.

FIJMU will continue to post updates as the situation unfolds. Authorities have asked that nobody pet or feed Missingno X/Y in Pokémon Amie, as it will likely short out your 3DS and electrocute you.
